Configuring Event Types

To schedule Pillar interviews via Calendly, you must first configure the event types for each of your interviewers that uses Calendly.

Prerequisite

You must be a Calendly administrator

You must have the Zoom <> Calendly integration installed

Part 1: Creating an Interview Event Template

  1. Go to the Event Types page in Calendly

  2. Click the “New Event Type” button

  3. Choose a meeting format (One-on-One, Group, Collective, Round Robin)

  4. Fill out the event details

    1. For the event name, we recommend incorporating the words “Pillar” and “Interview” to avoid confusion
      Example: Pillar 30 Minute Interview

    2. For the location, select “Zoom”

    3. For the event link, we recommend incorporating the words “PIllar” and “Interview” to avoid confusion
      Example: pillar-interview-30-min

  1. Finish configuring the event according to your preferences

  2. Click the “Back” button to return to your event types.

  3. Find the newly created event type. Click the settings cog, and select “Save to Template”

  4. Click the “Templates” button and verify that your template was created

Part 2: Creating Event Types for Interviewers

  1. Go to the Event Types page in Calendly

  2. Click the “My Calendly” dropdown and select a user

  3. Click the dropdown arrow to the right of “New Event Type”

  4. Select your template created in Part 1 of the instructions

  1. Repeat steps 1-4 for all interviewers that schedule via Calendly

Notes:

  • The Pillar <> Calendly integration supports multiple event types. If your interview stages vary in duration, it is recommended to create a separate template for each duration, and create an event type for each interviewer.

  • Please share the full URL of each event type that Pillar is supposed to join with your customer success manager.
